First of all, let me say a big thank you in advance for participating in this challenge. The rarewomen of the world need love...love in the form of fic written about them. Please take all my optional suggestions and fannish blatherings as just that...suggestions. am comfortable with any rating. Follow your muse and I know you'll write a great story! General Likes: Humor, UST, bittersweet emotions, character studies, passing the Bechdel Test, Porn With Plot
Dislikes: I'm not huge into stories that are happy-fluffy to the point where they are unbelievable with canon. I also don't particularly like stories that involve non-con, death of a major character, or AUs.

A Song of Ice & Fire: Arya, Melisandre

I'm fascinated by Arya's training in the House of Black & White and would love a story about her training or future as a Faceless (wo)Man. I’d especially love to see her cross paths with Jaqen H’ghar again- either in a future fic, or a missing scene from A Dance With Dragons or A Clash of Kings. Can be het or gen, but if it’s het, please age Arya up a little. I don’t care for Arya/Gendry. Melisandre of Asshai really intrigues me, too. Would love something about her backstory, especially as it is hinted that she might have been a slave before she became a priestess of R’hllor. Who is she beneath the glamour and the power?

And if you feel especially inclined, you could write a story with both of these ladies meeting up at some point. Given that Arya's God of Death seems to be an aspect of Ice and Melisandre's god R'hllor is Fire, it could be a very interesting meeting

!Doctor Who (2005): Jenny (AGMGtW) , Madam Vastra, Nancy

Lesbian(ish) Victorian Silurian detectives, all the way! Would love a story about Jenny & Madam Vastra, either femslashy or gen…but preferably with some sexual tension between them. A story of their first meeting would be great. Or possibly a little story where the Doctor plays matchmaker. I find Nancy so wonderfully heroic. I would love to read a story where the Doctor drops in on her and her son and they have an adventure. Especially a story where the Doctor learns from her and is inspired by her courage to be honest with her son.

Ten and Eleven are my fave doctors but I wouldn't mind a Nine story either. Donna and River are my fave non-rare companions, fyi. But obviously, the Doctor and other companions are completely optional.

Downton Abbey: Cora, O’Brien, Violet

I seem to be obsessed with women and their ladies’ maids. I’d love a femslash or gen story about Cora and O’Brien’s secret feelings for each other. I’m fascinated by the co-dependence of the mistress/maid relationship and O’Brien’s desire to atone for the thing she can never really atone for. Or an O’Brien and Thomas friendship story- I think their friendship is one of the most redeeming things about their characters. In my personal fanon, they are the gay mafia of Downton Abbey. I wonder how many of their secrets they tell each other- Does Thomas know about the fatal soap incident? Does O'Brien know about the Duke's letters and the blind soldier?

Alternately, a story that is all things Dowager Countess! Violet swanning around, getting flustered by telephones and swivel chairs, trying to bend the world to her will would be fabulous. Perhaps an encounter with an old flame from her past?
